Dan Attoe's paintings depict views of nature disrupted by the presence of humans, suggesting mysterious narratives about their relationship to these otherwise untouched settings. For Glowing River 2, Attoe has used silver ink to add text or line drawings that hint at what might be happening in the image. Upon closer inspection, subtle details reveal themselves, giving the forest and its glowing river an eerie significance.
