"The week I started this piece, I was listening to a lot of Megadeth and the song The Scorpion just kept going around and around in my head. The song is about the folk story The scorpion and the frog where a scorpion promises a frog not to sting him if he carries them both safely across a stream, of course the scorpion can’t help but sting the frog and they both drown.
