"What inspired the colours for this lithograph is a specific moment that happened in Paris in the summer of 2020. I sat down at a terrace on the corner by the Bercy bridge after a long day of intense painting in the 13th, to have a drink while watching painted trains from the line 6 go by on the elevated tracks. It started raining but it was still a warm sunny day and I witnessed the most beautiful rainbow appear over the teal and white trains. What remains in this monochrome piece are all the variations between the white and the teal. For me a rainbow can exist in a monochrome piece." Adele Renault.
