"The project I produced for ART FOR CHANGE and When We All Vote is a piece with John Lewis. It's an image of him as a younger man. I really love the image because it was very expressionistic and exhibits the charisma that he exhibited in his life. I thought it was just a really powerful image. The energy, the care, the humanity, his spirituality are all things that speak to me and what I'm interested in insofar as what I'm doing in my work–his dignity and willingness to take on or not to shy away from a good cause."
