This is the companion piece to the edition Tillmans produced for Texte Zur Kunst in 2018, and poses the question: How likely is it that only I am right in this matter? Prompting the viewer to consider the grey area between truth and opinion. The starting point of this project was What is Different? (2017/18), Tillmans' volume for the Jahresring series which explored the notion of the backfire effect, a tendency of some people to resist accepting evidence that conflicts with their beliefs. The print takes the form of a scan of a photocopy Tillmans has manipulated during the photocopy process. Sales from this special edition raise funds for The Studio Voltaire Capital Project, a transformative £2.4 million project, creating 42% more artists' studios, renovated exhibition space and 233% new public spaces including a dedicated learning space, public garden, café and the first–ever permanent House of Voltaire.
