"Sneakers addicts accumulate tons of kicks and often don't wear them at all: shoes are turned into pieces of art. I wanted to represent my collection of kicks in the same way. Additionally, using carton was also a way for me to denounce mass consumption. It usually takes me 20 hours approximately to produce one shoe. All my creations are handmade. This image represents my last series honoring the infamous and inspiring Nike Air Max 90. Devoted to protecting the environment, I mostly use recycled materials: plastic, raffia or empty boxes. I also use acrylic paint, glue and gloss varnish. I really wanna emphasize on the fact that this image is a 2D representation of my work.
