Anna Gaskell's work Gaskell Morris Bazaar shows herself together with the artist Sarah Morris photographing her through a mirror. The setting is the Ladies Room of the iconic Four Seasons restaurant in New York, the composition is inspired by a photograph by Helmut Newton. The work is an intimate portrait by one artist of another, and therefore stands in tradition of earlier works by Anna Gaskell, for example of her SVETA series, which was focused on Svetlana Lunkina, the former prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre, and of her film Echo Morris, which was Gaskell's first portrait of the artist Sarah Morris.
