We're pleased to announce AMPHORA, our collaboration with graphic artist James Jarvis. In interpreting the classical amphora, Jarvis has made a timeless piece that works both as a functional object and a sculpture. The term 'amphora' is derived from the Greek 'ampiphoreus', meaning 'bearer'. Jarvis playful approach to the amphora vase literally portrays it as a water bearer. Known for his distinctive, minimal cartoon characters and his pioneering work in vinyl toy design, Jarvis has exhibited worldwide. More recently, he has concentrated on a simpler, reductive, drawing-based approach to his work. Size: 35cm. tall. Edition of 100. Matt porcelain biscuit with glazed parts. Custom screen printed box.
