Andrew Pope is currently working on his second collaboration with Raymond Pettibon; they released their first zine, Inside Outside Baseball, in 2014. Pope paints scenes of isolation and alienation in a limited color palette which often display a lone, suited figure in a state of ennui. Her Pass By centers in on a female figure, as she refuses the viewer with her back turned and body obscured by a fur coat. Caught in a de Chirico like atmosphere, the image prompts a haunting narrative that is essential to Pope's work.
