For this circular wall clock it is a perfect fit. Some large details, some small rings of geometry and the hour markers almost disappear into the maze of geometry. This piece was a lot of fun to design, especially since it has been actualized with laser etching on wood and has the three levels that create a nice depth with shadows. Maximalism design meets a timeless wooden construction. I always enjoy working with the good folks at 1xRun. We have always done something new and different with each of the releases I have had with them. This time around I proposed the idea of a three-dimensional wall clock with the design laser etched into the surface. An ambitious idea, certainly we could have flexed less, but we all agreed it was worth it to push it to the limit and make something really unique.
