Its taken from a body of work I produced after getting back to Australia from Amsterdam in 2013, its one of the last in the series, and is one of my favorites. It is a culmination of borrowed interest and life experiences, using cues from some of the pop icons I have devoured into my work, and elements from my life in graffiti. It also touches of moments of good and evil with the white wings and the horns sprayed in red, and the gloves of a fighter, to suggest a struggle. It also depicts a lighthearted beak representative of Donald or Howard the duck with a presence of death peaking behind. It’s a summation of the passion to create, and the treachery of over investing ones self. Which is why it’s called ‘The Torment’.". ~ Unwell Bunny.
