On the occasion of his exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery, The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever!, Grayson Perry has created a Limited Edition flag. This handmade appliqué flag is inspired by Asafo flags, which provided visual representations of military companies, especially among the Fante in present-day Ghana from the 18th century onwards. A devoted fan of motorcycling, Perry designed this flag for an imaginary motorcycle gang.
