Jeanette Hayes will be featured in the group show Lifeforce at The Untitled Space in New York, opening July 26. Hayes is a master of the digital era, juxtaposing traditional art historical imagery with her sometimes nostalgic, and often ironic, approach to contemporary digital and popular culture. In her Poké Paintings, Hayes' blends her signature art history references in conjunction with the iconic early '00s cartoon characters that have been recently reinvigorated into the collective consciousness due to the launch of the hysterically popular virtual reality mobile app "Pokémon Go.".
