What interested me was that the original drawer, although Communist propagandist, was inspired by Western codes, repeating the figure of the Madonna and the child while adding a psychedelic typography. The universality of this drawing inspired me to paint it in different places along my travels: Lisbon, Paris, Amsterdam and London.
