Her Turner Prize show of 1999, which included her now famous soiled bed attracted all the attention, through it did not win the prize. She has made known her life, beliefs and feelings in the form of diaristic drawings, films, sculptures and written stories, in a manner full of compassion and wit as well as frustration and pain. Drawings remain at the heart of Emin's work, and over the last ten years she has produced a steady flow of monotype prints direct from her drawings. 'Dog Brains' has been selected from a collection of her most recent drawings and has the trademark Emin line - a hesitant, slightly blurred line suggesting a fragile immediacy of experience.
