Bio

Kadar Brock and his abstract canvases began appearing in gallery shows almost immediately after his graduation from Cooper Union School of Art, where he received a BFA in 2002. Though he began showing in Miami and at art fairs, Brock has since generated international acclaim for his large mixed media works, which often incorporate elements of chance and occasionally slivers of previous paintings. Brock has had solo shows in Tokyo and London, as well as The Hole and Thierry Goldberg Projects in New York, and has participated in countless group shows around the globe. Brock’s work has been reviewed in The New York Times, The Village Voice, Artforum, Bomb Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, Interview Magazine, White Hot Magazine and Dazed and Confused. His solo show at Gallery Diet in Miami is on view until March 8th, 2014.
